Bio:
I am a visionary and strategist. I inspire and facilitate change. I help people (and brands) discover and unleash their own agency and momentum.
I’ve always had a keen interest in helping people. And I’ve long enjoyed throwing one-of-a-kind parties (organizing, entertaining and engaging people). A bulk of my creative and intellectual energy has been dedicated to finding effective ways to combine and feed both of my passions. In a way, my life has been a lively pursuit of partying with a purpose.
My pursuit picked up steam while in school at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. I worked as tour manager for a socially responsible super-group, marketing director for a legendary music venue, and spent my summers as a community and union organizer. This was a very instructive and inspiring period of my life that was punctuated with a fellowship at Amnesty International.
My pursuit continued in Chicago. I worked a series of very challenging and rewarding jobs that included stints as an engagement/experience designer, artist manager (major label artist) and executive producer of a cutting edge radio program. At this point, my interest in throwing parties has morphed into an intense concentration on audience/community development, social networking and multi-platform content creation and management.
Most recently I worked as a key member of the strategic communications team at Chicago Public Radio, co-founded a ground breaking social networking/new media project, Vocalo.org, and served as program, content, and music director for the musically ambitious, Radio Milwaukee.
To be continued…
Peace Kedar: Just touching base with you. Again, I will be leaving for South America in January. I would like to do some collaboration radio projects with you. Are you still with NPR? If not, we can still do some work together.
